The manufacturing process at our sawmill in Muscoda begins with a rosser head debarker which peels the bark off the logs before sawing.  Logs are then transferred to a Cleereman carriage where the slabs are taken off.  The squares are sent to a 6' McDonough band resaw for processing into lumber, ties, timbers or cants.  The lumber is then graded by one of our National Hardwood Lumber Association graduate lumber inspectors before being end trimmed, sorted, piled, and made ready for shipment.
